Bi-annual Inspection Question

1 comment:

  1. Bob –

I was unsuccessful in posting a comment on the COHOA website; hence this message.

I suggest that someone representing COHOA contact Saint Johns River Water Management District in Palm Bay to confirm that a bi-annual inspection is required. When I was on the COHOA BofD, Saint Johns did not have such requirement.

Then, when Catalina Oak S/D was started in 1989, the stormwater management design and all surveying was contracted to Beindorf and Associates, a local engineering firm. When Beindorf retired, his “business” including all of his files were transferred to Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., 601 21st Street, Suite 300 [Bank of America building], Vero Beach, FL 32960, 772.562.7981. With the original files, Kimley-Horn may be a better source, if the SJRWMD inspection is required.

I notice that MBV and Mosby & Associates, Inc. share the same street address but not the same telephone number. The COHOA files will reflect that Mosby, who represented the Jungle Club, gave our association much “grief”, when we attempted to resolve our differences.

Finally, keep in mind that the COHOA governing documents are clear that each lot owner is financially responsible for any remedial work on the stormwater management system across their property.

If I can be of any assistance, please contact me.
